Today, more than ever,  the #1 request from parents is for caregivers to have more in-depth industry specific training!

Parents are now seeking high-value specialists and experts in the childcare industry who are more qualified and experienced offering innovative care and solutions.

These specialists spend several weeks in a home after a child is born to help parents establish healthy eating, care and sleeping routines. Many specialists function as parent educators, teaching proper parenting and accepted baby care techniques.

As a Newborn Care Specialist I specialize in working with families in the first 12-16 weeks of life, helping them get well established as parents, helping establish good feeding and sleeping habits, and getting everybody off to a healthy start.

In order to receive the Certificate of Training as a Newborn Care Specialist, an NCS must go IN-DEPTH into many areas of newborn care including recognizing possible signs of conditions such as postpartum mood disorders, torticollis, tongue tie, reflux, food allergies, brachial plexus injuries and more.

By hiring me as a Newborn Care Specialist you can rest assured that I am trained to care for your baby from head to toe, from hair, scalp, skin, eyes, nose, and ears, to neck, under arm, umbilical cord, circumcision, non-circumcised, labial and vaginal care, anal and rectal care. This includes diaper rash types and treatments, nails, bathing, feeding including breast feeding, bottle feeding (both breast milk and formula). I can help you understand what you need to know about formulas and options, as well as diapering and swaddling.

I will help you build a Nursery “must have” list, with my own personal suggested items to stock in the nursery to make your life with a newborn as easy as possible. I can also help you make simple ‘green’ choices if these align with your family values.

I offer the purchase of set blocks of hours and a timeframe in which to use them. This can make a lovely baby shower gift from a grandparent who wishes to help in these early days but isn’t able to be physically present.

For example, some clients chose to purchase 100 hours and will have 8 weeks in which to use these hours. I break my day into two, four-hour blocks and then it’s up to you to reserve whatever blocks you wish based on your family’s needs. I also offer a 12 hour overnight service for which you can use these pre-purchased hours.

20 hours (two weeks to use) = $740 ($37 p/h)

100 hours (8 weeks to use) = $3400 ($34 p/h discounted rate)

200 hours (12 weeks to use) = $6000 ($30 p/h discounted rate)
